A quality change in your career in relation to Clinical Trials

Within the OCTRU hub, we have created a new post that is entitled Clinical Trials Auditor and is currently advertised on the University vacancies page, please see https://tinyurl.com/y8v5klg2

Do you fancy changing your focus in trials towards Quality Assurance? The appointee depending upon experience would be appointed as a Grade 6 or 7, with on the job and external training as required.

The role has been created to join the QA team in OCTRU to enable the team to undertake more routine audits and central monitoring activities on internal systems which are integral to the quality of trial activities with the ultimate aim to have continual improvement and compliance with requirements, on our growing portfolio of complex trials.
Additionally the post holder will help support with the audit of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and to ensure review of policies and SOPs in a timely manner, as well as helping to ensure that audits are formally documented, findings disseminated, appropriate Corrective And Preventive Action plans (CAPAs) are in place, and are completed and closed in a timely manner.

Have any of the trials that you have worked on been audited? Were you a part of the team that wrote the audit response? Has a large part of your role to date been undertaking monitoring either at site or centrally that might have given you experience that you could bring to this role?
