On Wednesday 7th October OCTRU hosted the first meeting of the Oxford UKCRC registered CTU’s IT teams at Botnar Research Centre. The CTUs represented were
OCTRU (Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit)
PCVCCTU (Oxford Primary Care and Vaccines Collaborative Clinical Trials Unit)
OCHNCTU (Oxford Cognitive Health and Neuroscience Clinical Trials Unit)
NPEU (The National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit)
DTU (Diabetes Trials Unit)
CTSU (Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit)
Along with representatives from IT Services, MSD IT, and CTRG (Clinical Trials and Research Governance).
Talks were heard from all the CTUs, describing their current trial portfolio and the IT systems they are using to support these trials.
The meeting was very well received and the consensus was that it would be a good idea to re-convene again in the near future, maybe next time concentrating on a single issue.
