OCTRU hosts its first Chief Investigator Course

Details:

On Wednesday this week, OCTRU held its first Chief Investigator Course. The day welcomed both those hoping to make the transition from PI to CI, new CIs recently awarded funding, and experienced CIs.

The day consisted of presentations encompassing all the roles and responsibilities that fall to a CI including creating and maintaining a trial culture, thinking about strategy and motivation of all those involved in a trial, engaging with the funders, keeping compliant with trials regulations, and finally how to design, manage and report a trial.

Feedback on the course has included:

"It was an excellent course and please thank all the Faculty for their time and sharing of knowledge in such a generous way."

"Thanks I thought it was an excellent day and v useful!"

We are now reviewing all the feedback from the day and we hope to run the next course later this year. Details will be added to the blog when the next course date has been confirmed.
